it's probably possible to try a combination of shims that can work reliably, but we couldn't do it within rk session.

after locking the jug in place, the safety button still is not depressed enough.
suspect spring has weakened over time.

trying to add physical shims to help the jug depress the safety switch but we can't get the thickness right.

panasonic no longer sells parts. possible workaround is to cable tie down the safety switch but compromises safety.
