The device does not show any signs of life when plugged in and turned on.
Problem description
socket plug missing.

The fan jammed and overheated and warped the housing. The thermal fuse didn't blow. Giving up on repair due to warped parts plus unable to consistently clear the jam.
added new thermal fuse, fan is working again.
screwed in new socket plug, still doesn't power on.
disassembled and confirmed that thermal fuse has blown
