Problem description
the purple rubber tubing has worn out and has tears.
participant brought the new tubing and needs help replacing it

it is relatively easy to disassemble except for the top assembly.
the top assembly holding the rubber hose is held by 3 screws, one of which is hidden behind the red button.
the red button is spring loaded and has to be pried from the side away from the spring. the prying has to be done from the left and right nubs of the red button. that is the critical step.
to reach the 3 screws, it is essential to have a long and slim torx screw driver (interchangeable head security drivers are too wide to fit). in this case, the replacement tubing was sold along with the right driver.
