The device does not show any signs of life when plugged in and turned on.
Problem description
it was sent for 1:1 to trade in with refurbished unit. it started smoking when powered on. a 450uf cap was damaged. participant returned next month after buying

soldered the 450uf cap in. however as the pad on pcb is damaged, have to solder to alternate point R1 instead (see red arrow in photo)
